If the cracking process is not stopped, it will continue.
Windshields are eligible for repair unless:
- The crack is in driver’s line of sight or,
- The crack is over 1 year old and has already been repaired.
If the chip is repaired before becoming a crack it will not spread under normal conditions. We repair it by injecting a specially formulated resin into the damaged area. When it is filled completely it is then exposed to an ultra violet light which cures the resin. This restores 100% of structural integrity and 90-100% of clarity. The procedure takes 15-30 minutes per repair. Correcting cracks does not affect insurance rate as they consider it “no fault”. We will be happy to answer any further questions you may have.
